Having passed the respectable midlife crisis age of 45 and a number of successful career changes from teaching, photography, retail and even a Masterchef experience, Michelle Darlington found herself asking the big question, “How can I make a difference in the world at a time when we are going through a massive transformation and have fun in the process?”
Gathering all her skills and adding some passion to the mix Michelle started an inspiring company called Seed It Up, where she focuses on selling organic seeds that also sow the messages of Sustainability, Connection and Inspiration.
See It Up combines Michelle’s passion of supporting others to grow their own food as well as inspiring people to connect to themselves and their dreams. Inside every Seed It Up pack of organic seeds is a random act of kindness card that encourages us to plant the seed of kindness.
Michelle has clear goals, “My focus for the next 5 years is to establish firm partnerships and affiliations with likeminded groups who adhere to similar values, continue to refine and develop cool inspirational products and educate kids on the importance of planting seeds both physically and metaphorically”.
Michelle is passionate about connecting with our Australian youth and recently launched the Seed It Up – Fundraising for Sustainability arm, primarily aimed at primary schools; it aims to encourage conscious fundraising for sustainability.
Seed It Up deservedly won an Australian Green Lifestyle magazine award in 2013.
Michelle, you are an inspiration to us all – you live your passion.
