For over 25 years, Anthony has been the creative visionary behind some of Australia’s most high profile public events. Since founding his company AGB Events in 2006, Anthony has conceived and produced a long list of very successful and I must say stunningly beautiful events including but definitely not limited to Vivid Light, loved by the masses, Macquarie Visions honouring Sydney’s founding father Governor Lachlan Macquarie, the Australian Garden Show Sydney, which grabbed the attention of garden and design lovers far and wide, Canberra’s centenary celebrations, not to mention the annual Lights of Christmas on Sydney’s grand dame of churches St Mary’s Cathedral.

In a former life Anthony’s creative genius has been in evidence whilst he was working as the public programs manager for the Sydney Opera House as well as during his role as the cultural programs manager for Centennial Parklands, Sydney’s historic public park.
Anthony was the creative director of Sydney’s live sites during the 2000 Olympic Games and Paralympics and he also worked as creative director of Festivities for the 2003 Rugby World Cup. Anthony’s achievements are long and varied; as the Head of Events and International Visits for the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne his role included working with HRH Queen Elizabeth II and he was equerry to Prince Edward; managing his official duties.
What I love about Anthony’s talent and obvious creative vision is that he brings an extra dimension, another level of excitement and uniqueness to the events he produces. Hundreds of thousands if not millions of people have no idea of the genius behind their fun day or night out.
Lights of Christmas
Anthony’s creative strengths and leadership keep shinning through in his ongoing role as producer for Vivid Light, part of Vivid Sydney 2014; an 18 day festival of light, music and ideas which kicks off on 23 May. Vivid Light is a free, outdoor event featuring world-class art installations and projections that will once again transform Sydney’s architecture and open spaces.
