Actress and environmentalist Isabel Lucas has talent and style, which is a powerful combination.
I first met Isabel when we worked together on the Protect our Coral Sea campaign. She donated a considerable amount of her time promoting this inspiring cause and she was an absolute delight to work with even though most of the time we were situated half a world away from each other.
Over the years I’ve seen paparazzi and magazine photos of her at various events and as when I met her in person I was always struck by her grace and beauty.
She recently modelled for Country Road when they teamed up with The Woolmark Company and now she is showing us her artistic and design flair with her collaboration with MelleSan, creating head piece jewels, in her own words Isabel explains what inspired this partnership,
“I began collecting crystals when I was a little girl after my aunt gifted me three little gemstones for my 6th birthday. Ever since, I have loved learning about their remedial properties and how cultures around the world have utilised them for healing during ceremonies and rituals. I like carrying a crystal in my pocket daily and associating loving intentions with them, evoking a sense of clear, positive energy. It is also a way to nurture my connection to mother earth and offer blessings.”
Isabel has enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate and create crystals crown-pieces with MelleSan and believes, “Her designs are uniquely feminine, and I like how her creations encourage women to unearth their inner goddess. Purchasing any crystal headpiece is assisting in conserving oceans, coasts and ecosystems. 10% is donated directly to The Australian Marine Conservation Society. Our actions today have an impact on the environment in the future. Let’s make that impact one of appreciation and reverence for the planet.”
